A long time ago I meditated in the middle of the room while a bunch of guys had a band jam session... it was odd.
no drugs or drink and I just laid on my stomach and focused deep on the shapes and colors of the static made by shutting my eyes. At one point they collide into larger almost spots and make what looks like a runway at an airport. Focusing on following the depth it felt like I was moving forward down the line. and slowly I began to feel weightless after trying to achieve that multiple times. Shortly after I felt weightless in space like I was touching nothing just floating in nothingness. I began to think hard and focus on moving my limbs without moving my body. I began to move like a compass needle. and I could slowly control the movement and I spun faster and faster, slowed down and faster still. it was like the gravitron at the travelling festivals and fairs.
My friends thought I was just asleep and then I talked to them while they were cracking jokes and startled them since I was still laying motionless on the ground. But I've only been able to meditate like that a few other times.
I had a good meditation today but not of that depth. Sounds corny I know, but it feels so great being able to master your mind's sensations like that so effortlessly.
Anyone else meditate?

I'm sure if I would have stuck with it, that I would be able to go into deep states like you described. It's truly amazing what you could do with your own mind in a state like that. Maybe I should pick it up again...
