updating here to mention that the funniest thing happened while I was sitting in my car at the gas pump. This girl comes up to the passenger side door and opens the door up. She's distracted or something and doesn't realize her boyfriend has moved their car over by the air pumps and she thinks my car is hers. I knew that I was about to scare the shit out her no matter what I did so I said "why hello!" in my cheeriest voice. You should have seen her face when she realized what she was doing. Her boyfriend is rolling he's laughing so hard.

Amazing how quickly a week can pass... es verdad, no?
It's Sunday morning. Sitting here with the Police on jah radio. Changed my iPod's shuffle setting to albums and turned it loose throughout the night. Woke up yesterday to 'Kill 'em All'. Interesting how heavy aggressive music can be so ingrained that even while it rages you can still remain in the calm bliss of a weekend wakeup.

I think one interesting effect of the Internet is the realization that spelling and grammar are so bourgeoise. I love run on sentences, I can't deny it. Let the revolution begin with me.
I say this, but if I remember to do so I will check this for spelling as I've chosen not to retain this type of info in my life. I always groaned when it was time for Language. Grammar, English, or any type of Math class. Now Lit, Physics, Oceanography, Psych, Philosophy, stage tech and so on, those were the things I loved.
I used to take remedial algebra early in the morning before school with my physics teacher Lucky Ditton. Lucky was awesome. He played guitar and would jam with some of my bands during events like the yearbook signing on the court yard kinda thing. He was rotund, balding, and sported wild remaining hair. He'd always tell me I had to be a Physics teacher when I got older.. you know, to keep it in the family of rotund, balding, guitar playing physics teachers. But I always admired that he took his personal time to be at the school at 6am to go over the basic algebra we'd need to do the lesson later in the day.
We had a cool relationship. I used to take total advantage of how much rope I could take with him. For example I'd always show up late to his class...(No biggie, I was late for every calls) Once getting inside I'd greet him as he semi-caustically greeted me, and I'd head to the back of the room where his office was and where he kept his coffee maker. Once I had a cup brewed I'd go back and join the rest of the class and ask him to repeat the last seven minutes or so if he wouldn't mind.
He gave as good as he got though. One day I was walking in the halls and out of the blue he body checked me into a locker and pinned me there. Holding up his car keys he said. "You! You know where my apartment is. You know where my new house is. There are boxes of stuff already boxed up. Take them, put them in my car and then put them in my new house. I've gotten you excused for the day.
I couldn't drive a stick so he forced my good brother Jerry to do it as well. Jerry didn't want to do it, it was work and he wanted to study. No avail, he was sent packing with me. ;-)
Ditton did let us take some LPs from his collection for our efforts. I scored Taj Mahal's '68 debut.

Yeah... so I uh like the run on sentences... 'n stuff.
Peas kiddos.

I had heard a small rumour that he'd died. I surely hope not.
