Hee hee... because what's life without drama?... my car caught on fire last night. ;-)
Some wires must have rubbed raw in the steering wheel column after the airbag went off. I'm loading Fallon (Trina's three year old neice) in the back seat and I smell something electrical. Because the airbag had a strong gunpowder oder after it deployed I thought this new smell might be residuals... then I see smoke start pouring out of the steering wheel column.. I pull the toddler and pooches out of the car with one hand while the other is dialing 911 -is a joke-. While I'm telling the dispatcher what's up, blue-green flame starts jumping out of the steering wheel housing. ;-) I'm smothering it with a blanket while the dispatcher is telling me to get away from the car. The whole while trying to debate that it doesnt' look too bad yet vs. sense of self-preservation gig Fire dept. is there in minutes and by that time the flames have subsided. They disconnect the battery and all seems relatively chill there after. Funny how things that should be pissing me off are really kind of amusing me more than anything. ;-) Hope you are all having a lovely sunday n' stuff!
So with the Avs being out of the playoffs I get my next best wish. Tampa Bay vs. Calgary. I'm going for the Canadian team to win... but I'll be really stoked if TB gets it as well. Dave Andreychuck deserves his cup! Plus they have other former avs as well with Dingman and Pratt... so Jah Know.
