I'm now in Phitsanulok, right in the middle of Thailand, and today I wandered into a Buddhist temple.
Now I've come to Thailand many times, and been in countless temples, but something has dramatically changed recently. With the rise of "smartphones" many people in Thailand are consumed with the selfies fad. It's sad, really. People used to go into temples to pray. Now they go in to take selfies of themselves pretending to pray. Ah well.
Below is an image I saw of Buddha surrounded by naked women. Honestly, I think that's a religion I can love!

It's so very sad that most people are too consumed with their own frivolities to appreciate the beauty in this world, especially in such a spiritual place.
