Hi Blog...I know I'm confusing you since I usually post only on Sundays, but I had to write a short note.
I tried to form a group here for victims of bullying and it got shot down. I don't know if it was because there is one already in existance or I used the wrong tags, etc. I will try again though, because I think we need a place to share our experiences and feelings. The effects bullying has on a person's self-esteem are so strong. I have lived with the pain for over 40 years and have only just begun the healing process.
As a teacher I see the effects of bullying now...just today I had to deal with a student who was bullying a peer. Considering my past it was difficult not to come down extremely hard on the boy, but I had to keep my feelings in check while still making it clear that what he did was not acceptable...ever. I appreciate some of the comments people have made regarding my experiences and how they have shared their stories, too.
As a society we need to put an end to bullying. ALL of us have value as human beings and NO ONE deserves to suffer the terrible effects of being bullied. Thank you for letting me get up on my soapbox!

the bullying as a kid was horrid. kids are cruel. i was called many names and made horrible fun of because of how i dressed/looked. crooked teeth, cross eyed. im sure you can imagine. lol
i have no tolerance for certain things now.
since those days, 2 people have apologized. their apologies dont mean a damn thing to me.
i have a big heart, and i am kind and caring.. but i can be cold as fuck sometimes.. lol
