I'm sorry for the earlier post, too negative. I have so little, compared to some people, to be sad about. Sometimes I feel ashamed of myself for expressing such feelings, but I guess that's what this Blog is for, right?
Anyway, thanks to some lovely ladies here and the help of my therapist, I feel better and also better able to deal with my emotions. To Mavelle, I hope you are well and I promise you I WILL finish your gift by next week at the latest. To Brooklyn, I love the photos you've been posting and your travel stories...and I have some artwork to post for you ...maybe today - nothing of SG ladies for I am still working on those, but some other stuff I found when I was cleaning in my studio. To Noel, I hope you are feeling better...my love to you sweetheart. To Tabitha, I bet you're off to Sweden so I will have to post the pic of the work I did for you later. To Arielle, I hope you are doing well...I will try to write a longer message to you soon. To Silencia, I am ALMOST finished with another drawing of you, but I've been teaching an art camp all week so it's been hard to find free time. To all of you other gorgeous SG ladies I've promised portraits of...I will get them posted soon.
I've been teaching all week...had one week off, but couldn't WAIT to get back with some kids in an art class. I have 11 kids of various ages in class and they are a little wound up, but good at working hard on their painting projects. It's hard at this time of the summer to pin the little buggers down, but they manage pretty well. The other camp I was going to teach next week has been cancelled, but I don't mind so much, it will give me time to do some painting and work on my SG paintings/drawings/etc.
Not much else new other than the oppresive heat and the bands of severe thunderstorms that go through each afternoon here. I thought, when I left Illinois, I would never see thunderstorms again like I've seen here lately. It's like the wrath of some offended God or Goddess raining down (no pun intended His or Her hate on us!
Hopefully, next week I will do a cleansing and rededication ritual...it's been too long.
