I had a liberating weekend. Not Only did I manage to score a
little pickup truck for $100 from the friend I am going to be staying
with in lovely Sf, but I have been a maelstrom of non-processing
personal reflection.

All so so good. Like most everybody else it seems I am reflecting on
the pernicous inter-personal habits born of fear, loss, and
for...

Not going completely digital...I have too much love for film. But in certain cases instant gratification is worth it.

Ok, all complaints will be sent to your department.

So I'm remodelling my personality to some degree
these days. Stuff I want to get out of my system that I don't really like personality-wise and are up front and center in my field of willingness to accept are in operation in my life.

One nasty one is coming from (Meaningless personality theory #568). So its being kind of a name dropper. Like I'm not...

My hair can bear no more of my frustration...I'll need another outlet.

I cry when I'm pissed off...then I get pissed off that I'm crying. Damn, I have some issues there.
flakaseagulls:
hiya, tongue is getting quite the workout lately with this past weekend (fixation is in full swing). been more nuts than usual lately. argh!

crying is often used to release strong emotion - sad or happy. for some reason though people funnel the emotional peak of sadness into crying moreso than happiness. ah the great mystery...

If you are going to be in Marin -- you h a v e to go to Muir Woods. There are a zillion gorgeous trails and beautiful redwoods.. I'm planning on taking at least a 3-hour hike there tomorrow.. (!!) i love it there so much.. so peaceful. I mean really, if you've got friends there already.. you just gotta!

What you might have heard about the city is maybe the agressiveness of the panhandlers? But thats only in the most downtown areas, really.. I've never felt unsafe anywhere in SF. You're going to have a wonderful time! xoxoxox

ps & don't forget to have some yummmmmy veggie gravy & biscuits for breakfast at BOogaloo's (22nd & Valencia) xoxo

hope you are feeling better by now and have gotten some sleep! i too am sleep deprived -- i just locked my keys in my car, as a result! as for the new music thing --it doesn't HURT that i get sent records in the mail for free, of course... def. a nice perk about doing what i do, almost helps make up for the fact that it generally pays shite.

--!!!--------SNOW---------!!!----

[cheesy warning]

I love the white powdery stuff. It floats down flower-like crowning my modern blue plastic jacket
reminding me that I'm as unique as it is.

That you never really know how deep things can get before you step in is exhilarating since its soft and caring with intentions pure as snow.

Moving,
it travels with you lovingly finding any convienent niche -...

hiya. of course insight into the region is invaluable (check out recently-released Doug Little's "American Orientalism") for long term peace planning, but immediate physical threats need to be addressed with different tools.
----
the towers were designed to handle a 707 impact (biggest plane of the day). you CAN design a Tower-Class building to withstand 767 or 747 impacts but it'd be prohibitively expensive. Smaller buildings can of course more easily be made withstand heavy attacks (e.g. Pentagon) but Towers are too big to make truly "terrorist proof".

Back from NY. I luv luvluv Manhatten and food and new/old
places and old/new friends and the large large large space that is the
world.

Funny tho' how it can make you miss/appreciate your friends and
the people who are part of your life for better or worse. Sometimes
the best alone times are the ones where you are looking at some
silly do-dad...

Out this coast, there's no point in waiting for warm weather (although it is actually pretty warm right now) to go diving. The water is in the low 50 degree range all year round. Does the water temp vary a lot out there or is it just too freaky to get in the water when the air temp is so damn cold?
girlcatx:
word. i definitely relate to the travel feelings.
and yeah, happy chinese new year to you too. nice picture. i never tire of loving the look of chinese shop signs.
