Thanks.

I hope it's nothing serious. I will say this ... my feet did that when my kidneys started failing. You could be diabetic too ... my dad found out he was diabetic around age 50.

I hope you grandmother is comfortable during her final days, and your mom's chemo isn't too intense. My mom survived cancer and chemo twice, my dad decided he would rather died after going through chemo twice ... it took over two years.

Stay strong.

Well i finally got some time to update. playing Santa this year was really cool. got too meet a lot of interesting kids and even got too see some from the last two years. i feel for these kids, no kid should have to go through what they are going through. sometimes the nurses are so damn mean to them i just wanted to tell...

It's wonderful that you are being there for those children on Christmas the way you are. It is very tough, I can say from experience, to be in the hospital for such serious things at such young ages. I was in and out of the hospital frequently when I was young, and though I wasn't ever in on Christmas (thank what ever diety you pray to...), I wish someone had stood up for ME when the nurses were snotty. Those kids need all of the cheering up that they can get. You are right, the nurses may have a stressful job, but those kids have much more stressful lives. They have to watch their families watch them slowly fade away, they have to watch the only friends they make (other kids in the hospital, in the same situation as them), die. A nurse telling a young girl with cancer, that she is a brat... is just appalling.
Anyway, I've now written a novel, and will end my comment. I just wanted to say: I have high respect for you spending time with these kids, and trying to help them during a tough time of the year!

I'm sorry you've had to spend so much time in the hospital lately... nice you could turn it into an opportunity to play Santa, though smile Awesome to hear you made such a difference for the kids smile

Cheers to 2010!
