on different note, I've been contemplating the phrase 'high pain tolerance'. For a long time i've descibed myself as having a high pain tolerance but then after talking to other people who describe themselves that way I think i've been misusing the phase. When most people use it, I think they are trying to imply that they don't feel pain to the same degree as other. I.e. something I would decribe as a stabbing pain; they might descibe as a bee sting.

When I used it I was trying to suggest that I can tolerate alot of pain. It's not that I don't feel the pain, it's just that I can put up with it. I would have descibed the other people as having a high pain threshold. but thats just me.
