waiting for diane at the lloyd center MAX stop the other day. some fight breaks out between a couple of guys, who's buddies then join the frey, about 9 in all, throwing rediculous hay-makers, screaming the word "nigga" over and over for some reason. about 60 people standing around the stop and in the park, not to mention the full train of people that pulled away just after the fight started right in front of the doors of the first car....... nobody stepped in, but who could blame 'em? ugly scene. the outnumbered three retreated, but not before dropping and conseqently losing a pair of new shoes, some cds, and a couple of new hats as 'booty' to the remaining thugs. fuck, i hate testosterone, macho pride, violence, all that bullshit.... twenty toddlers playing in the fountain 30 yards away, unaware of the shitty world they're inheriting.... made me almost sick to witness, and how pedestrian real violence has become... when diane finally arrived i chose walking the direction of the remaining kids in the fountain as opposed to the half celebratory-half-flee the scene group of idiots.

i've been reading too much about institutional racism lately, the whole 'conspiracy' against minorities.... keep thinking that 'mighty whitey' has totally succeeded, especially when the oppressed aide their own destruction by perpetrating acts of violence against each other on a routine basis.... they've 'lost', no matter what.
