.....so cleann got her foot run over & knocked to the ground crossing broadway yesterday morning. the lady didnt really even ask if she was ok, just made an excuse that she didnt drive in that part of town much. cleann was way to nice to the woman, said, oh, no thats ok. im fine, have a nice day i think because of the shock. kinda wouldve ruined our date for last night if she were dead or in the hospital.....
we went toy shopping for the kids at kerr & trillium. she was kinda in shock when i told her to keep it under $300. i had fun throwing stuff in the cart, she was kinda reserved because i think she was still surprised at what the mission was, but we had a blast. little girls are hard to shop for!!!! when all was done, she estimated $283, me $297. turned out to be $317 (which didnt include my simpsons main street). so fun!!!! being a kid in a treatment center/fostercare/state custody for x-mas has got to be extremely shitty for 7-13 year olds, and toys arent the big answer, but it may help them feel a little better. a drop in the bucket, but oh well... i know what its like to be dirt poor for the holidays, etc., and it made an impact on me.... then she made dinner & we watched last of the mohicans and talked until 3am. ........... yeaaaah for a lovely evening with a wonderful girl... nice way to end finals week.
