a student responded last fall that "Please Daddy, Don't!" was her favorite book, so i told her I'd put it on my stack to read; goddamn what a miserable story of a duche who beat his wifes, then eventually killed two of his daughters while he was on the phone with their mom.... pretty depressing and infuriating, exposing how backasswards domestic voilence laws in this country are/were.....
also read a cool Mohammad Ali story that's an awesome young lit read....
