back from holiday back home. i tried to enjoy myself as much as possible despite two of my siblings spending the last 3 days not talking to each other.... that made our annual sibling picture un-fun and consequently we didn't get a good one taken. among other things i played Halo2 for the first time, helped mom clean out the basement shop area, ate waaay too much, read a good book (the Uglies), saw a few old friends and lots of family, and kicked ass & took names playing games (nertz, cranium, catch phrase). i did pretty good on delta's in-flight trivia too (damn you Tedd and TT!!!!). All in all a decent trip home.

I did add a picture of my late dog Ben to my pics. mom has been on a mini-album kick, and the one she made for Ben got me all weepy seeing it for the first time. she collected a bunch of pictures, vet bills, and letters/sympathy cards from when she put him to sleep back in Oct. She's been reeling and lonely since, and it was a nice project for her. It was the first time I saw pictures of him with a cone around his head from a previous vet visit. Mom told me she couldn't put him through that again when she discoved a tumor this last fall. the picture is of me and ben "playing towel" from two x-mas's ago. i sure miss him, but really appreciate that he gave mom 14 years of companionship after all of us kids moved out. he was a handsome m.f.....
