as much as i like watching football, i hate the fact that nike has used my favorite track from Last of the Mohicans soundtrack in an ad. i have super-fond memories of looooooong make-out / bed-cuddle times with my second-ever girlfriend whilst those strings played in the background. kinda a very heroic and romantic soundtrack to swap spit by, me thinks.
now instead of picturing kick-ass heroes run up mountain sides to rescue loved ones and exact revenge, or fond memories of rubbing up next to a goddess of a metal chick, i see various NFL running backs morphing into each other and avoid would-be tacklers....

if Ken Burns had any sense at all, as important and incredible as his WWII 14-hour movie will be, he would not have premiered it the same week as the regular channels are debuting their new seasons.... couldn't he have moved it up a week? so instead of watching it for four consecutive nights, i'll have to catch it once a week for the next 7. oh well, there's nothing good on Wed nights anyway.
good grief, as much as i love hanging out with my sister, looking at what has made it into this journal reinforces my need for a social life.....
