it's 3am.... i should be asleep.... i'm not
i went out with a group of ladies from my last job, kinda celebrating the fact that one of them moved on to a better job situation. i was, not surprisingly, kinda happy to see them all again but since i haven't accepted a new position yet it was kinda awkward. but still nice.
heard back today from one position i applied for, no luck, and left a message with another that was having trouble connecting with references.... i'm sick of having all my work stuff in my apartment, cluttering up the already unkempt appearace of the place.
i was invited to check out a position today (weird to have them find you, not the other way around). seemed like a decent option, except the commute on the bus. my visit was cool because i was also able to visit the Things From Another Planet down in Milwaukie (looking for a South Park Butters figure, primarily). no luck, HOWEVER, i did find a Christine Spar GRENDEL action figure. i'd been half-assed hoping i'd find one for a while, but never thought to look on-line to see if they really existed.... low and behold, there she is in the bargain bin! this is the 25th aniversary year of the comic (didn't know that). my brother has always been a comic collector, and really the only ones i ever collected were Iron Man and a few Grendel issues...... perhaps i'll go back and buy the trade paperback that collects the Devil's Legacy series that originally got me interested.
my mom made me promise to her over the phone that i would dust my apartment by X-mas time.....
my sister had borrowed a car this past weekend and i recycled some cans/bottles that have been around for almost 3 years.... i'm so bad at that stuff....
