Hello SG Folks

I initially planned on giving you several intense journal entries detailing the reasoning behind my dramatic life change occurring soon. But with everything in my head right now, I was only able to get one journal entry down (in my actual physical journal). So to cut to the chase, I now announce to you all

I am moving to Texas at the end of the month.

To pin it down exactly, I'm leaving PA on October 28th in hope of gaining a fresh start in the city of Austin, Texas. I'm basically packing whatever my car holds and heading down: No home, no job, and not knowing anyone. Quite adventurous, huh? It's a big decision and big move that I've very excited about. I've needed to recharge my life for a while now.

As some could tell by my lack of journal entries in the last year_and the few that I have done probably expressed it as well_but I haven't been the happiest person of late. I feel that my life as hit a giant wall and I've been stuck in a rut. Additionally I've become bored with this area. I've resided in Southeasten Pennsylvania for all my 27 years. And for a writer who constantly needs new beautiful things to push him to new beautiful places, I have struggled to find anything of excitement in a place and life that has become way too familiar and way too unexciting.

For the last year I have yearned for a change in environment. Something that would once again show me that the world is an extraordinary machine and that beauty lies around every turn.

I visited Austin in April of last year. And though it was a short visit, I completely fell in love the energy of the city. There is just something completely magical about the place. Upon leaving I instantly said, "I'm going to live there one day." It wasn't I want to live there or I should live there. There was no doubt in my mind that I would one day call Austin home. It became my dream. And now I'm taking a giant leap to fulfill it.

While this step is one with many obstacles and chances for failure, I look to it with great anticipation. I fully believe that moving to a new city_without the initial comfort of a home, job, or even people to call friends_will make me anticipate every new day as I would wake up each morning looking to this new landscape with hope, desire, and inspiration.

So wish me luck on this journey, as I embark on the next phase of my life.
