This past weekend had its highlights and lowlights. But unfortunately the lowlights were mixed in with the highlights, which made the highlights seem not so high. But as I strive to see things on the optimistic side, I shall only share with you the good.
I saw some awesome bands live. Including The New York Dolls during the WXPN All About the Music Festival on Friday. Yup, the legendary New York Dolls. Then on Sunday I saw Eagles of Death Metal and Peaches perform at the TLA. Great stuff.
In between I finally got to see Brokeback Mountain, which was good. In my opinion not as great as people made it out to be, but it was good. And for the first time in a long time, there was actually something on television that I sat and watched. I came across some PBS special with interviews from all these photographers that photographed Marilyn Monroe. And I love Marilyn! It was cool.
Anyways, as much as I try to disguise it, the lowlights really hit me hard and Im not in the best mood right now. Im quite sad actually.
