the cat calls through the night
and two chicks in the parking lot
crack wise on the price of fame
they stood to gain
Twin Cinema is such a great, great, great album. Purchase it now, or perish in the great Canadian blaze of musical glory that will soon smash our rock and roll into the ocean like so many pebbles on a beach.
So Monday is now the big goodbye. And I'm not hitting up New York. So I miss both U2 and New York! What a way for all this to end up. Oh well, maybe in December I can catch those Irish bastards.
If this all seems to read particularly happy, don't bother asking why. I'm just listening to Twin Cinema right now.
Or, now, Anniemal.
I bought nearly 24 hours worth of DVDs in the past week.
Criterion Collection DVDs
Jules And Jim (or Jules et Jim)
Videodrome
Director's Label Series
The Work of Director Mark Romanek
The Work of Director Anton Corbjin
I also bought Gilmore Girls Season 4. Even if it's the worst season, it was still pretty damn good compared to most shows. This all came to 21 hours.
I've already blown through both Director's Label DVDs and Jules et Jim the feature and Videodrome's bonus material.
I need a life, don't I?
I'm now going to do what Mark Romanek suggests when you play the "Cochise" video: PLAY LOUD.
I love having a house to myself.
