what a surreal day. i was just riding around town while my clothes were in the washer at the laundromat ( i dislike sitting waiting there for some reason ) when this woman comes running across the park yelling for me to stop. after i had stopped she starts telling me her husband is after her and wondered if i could give her a ride to the police station. after realizing there was no way she could fit on my bike i offered to escort her to the police station. after we had been walking for a few minutes and she had been telling me a vague story about what hapened when her husband comes running up to us. now i get to hear his side of the story. as this is going on all three of us are slowly walking down the sidewalk, me ,keeping my bike between them just in case. to make a long story short, she ran out of the house because someone had put a pair of scissors on her pack of cigarettes (no, i'm not making this up...) and that freaked her out and she blamed her husband and left. the husband claims it was one of the friends they had at the house that did it and he had no knowlegde of it. finally i conviced the husband to go back home and let her walk it off as she repeatedly told him to leave her alone. so i walk him back a few blocks as he tells me more of the story. if you haven't guessed both people had been drinking. when the husband and i parted ways he was worried that she was going to the bar ( one that i frequent now and then ) so i promised him that after i went to get my laundry i would check the bar and if i found her there i would get her out of it. i did as i promised and she wasn't there so i went back home. hopefully nothing serious comes out of this for them. it just seemed like a silly argument between an intoxicated couple. she was afraid he was going to hit her but after talking with him i could tell he wasn't going to cause any trouble. he was more exasperated than angry.
