i went to go see shrek this morning before work. half way through it the theater manager comes running in shouting "tornado! tornado! i 've seen it forming!" after a bit of scurrying he hands me a 3-year old and tells everyone to go to theater 4. we all gather in there and the building shakes a bit and it sounds like a train is going overhead. a moment later a woman comes running in saying "where are my kids?!?!" handing her toddler back to her we wiat out the storm. people talking nervously and the kids crying and a woman on the verge of tears. after getting a free pass for a show i head out after things have calmed down. i wlk over to find my bike exactly where i left it but 5 feet away 5-6 cars have windows blown out. apperntly one tried to form over the shopping complex where the theater was , damaging the neighboring super market roof as it bounced off of it. wiped out a gardening supply center sending 50 pound bags of mulch at least 500 ft in all directions. snapping road signs built with 4"x6"timber etc. i biked home ( about 1/4 mile to see if i still had a house, no damage thank god..) and then headed into work ,massive amount of debris everywhere and powerlines down. made it in to work. the power at work came on 3 hours after i got there. all in all an amusing day

I am now under a Tornado Watch as I type this. I'm a-watchin', but I don't see a-nuthin'. Not like it matters. There are no safe spots in this complex.
