The only thing I hate about the Onion is that most times that I read something from it I really, really, really want it to be true and I know it isn't.

You've been at that place for 15 years? Wow. Never mind I'm a young'un, but I cannot fathom staying in one job for a decade-and-a-half. My father's longest tenure was eleven years, my mother ten...if you want to be nitpicky, I have a "starving artist" (read: works a couple days a week for the Feds) aunt who's had that job since '83.

Come to think of it, the only two members of my extended family that have held the same job for decades are my grandparents. 1958-present is the current record (my paternal grandmother, the Avon lady ).

Here's how it went -

Vincent Gallo submitted a rough cut of Brown Bunny to the Cannes Film Festival. Everybody hated it. He went back and took 1/2 an hour out and that was released "ADULTS ONLY" (or X or whatever you want to call it), in the american theater. I drove to Chicago to see it, and believe me, it's "unedited". Basicaly, he just tightened up some of the scenes so they don't get too tedious. See, most of the movie is him driving across the country anyway. It's more of a portrait of loneliness and depression than an actual narrative movie.
