OK,today sucked !! I've had a sore throat for about 5 days but a strep test was negative...it's not going away too quickly so I went back to the doctor....she starts asking me if anyone in my family has / had throat cancer - she totally freaked me out, she had me there for 3 1/2 hours - I cried while driving home she got me so scared frown Has anybody had a sore throat that hung around for a long time and then went away ?? Anybody ?? frown

not personally, but it does happen- it dosen't meen you need to freak out...do you get heartburn alot? because that can cause it as well. also, it might just be allergies, after all everything is coming into bloom right now. and your body changes it's allergic reactions to things as you get older...so it could be that.
