I've been dying to travel more, I've been to Canada, Mexico, and I live in the U.S. There are so great places to travel. I'd love to travel almost anywhere. But unfortunately I'm not independently wealthy...thoughts? Please include what makes your location great, I'm not picky.

South East Asia is relativity cheap for us Westerners and it's a win with all the different cuisines and history both ancient and modern. The ever changing Singapore and Hong Kong or the older Vietnamese/French influenced Hanoi or Vientiane and the humid Bangkok or Rangoon. Backpack by train or cheap airlines is the easiest way around, never hitch hike anywhere for obvious reasons.
