My friend Corey said she has a "timeless look". My friend Brent said there's just something about her. And it is true, there is just something about her. The way she smiles, the way her cheeks dimple, the way she smells... "A side of sourdough toast" I announced, placing the plate in front of her. She looked up and smiled and my stomach hit the floor. Oh, god, it's her... A sweat washed over me. The room was already hot enough as it was. A broken air conditioner. A beautiful girl I had been lusting over for months. Shit. I hadn't realized it was her until she looked up, sitting beside her boyfriend, smiling happily up at me. I could barely look her in the face. Her brown hair was pulled ever so carefully away from her chocolate eyes; her dress... purse... so put together. Why me? She was so incredibly beautiful. So kind... I don't deserve this... Her grace and composure as I deliver her toast. I tried desperately to remain calm. She always gets me every time. She eats at the restaurant regularly; at least once a week. One of the few women who can tie my stomach in a knot. Her boyfriend smiled smugly at me, as I scurried away. He must be the luckest man in the world. A load of dishes awaited washing... It was time to go...
