ohhhhhh it is an awesome thing to have a kick ass professor!! I do believe that this is by far the highest achiever out of the bunch..(well...there is one other that is a close second..) and I've really become attached to his tutalage. He's the prof of International Management in which has an exorbitant amount of information on...ANYONE can ask him ANYTHING and he knows the full history, controversies, development, support, etc. of the topic. Like, you could say, "Peanuts" and he could write a PhD on everything from the business developments to the biological engineering testing that they've done in hong kong four year, five months and two seconds ago. Really crazy. i love him! I really do enjoy spectacularly brilliant people because while I'm just a lil student..and have a long way to go before I could ever challenge them...my mind just has a spazz and all of its lil neurons and synapses flurry with excitement when it gets to learn. blush

what about you? do you like to learn?

Right soooo...I have four more 8,000 word essays to do by the 12th of November. I'm excited about them though because they're all subjects that i am truly in love with because we all get to choose whatever it was that we wanted to do. yay! biggrin

hehehehehee sorry sorry for the drawn out discussion on my academia..i am a TOTAL nerd and ive come to embrace that about myself...biggrin hehehehehe *giggles like mad* blush confused kiss

i love all the smilies. so much fun.

i heard that twistymisty shot another set yesterday for 5 hours...! well done hun! kiss

otherwise...

i want to change my SG name to 'newt' because while i am utterly fascinated by black widow spiders i love newts and the freakin WORD 'NEWT' soooooo much that i want people to have the opportunity to say it everytime they get a message for me.

Say "newt newt newt" outloud. Doesn't that kick ass?

ahahaha i do believe this entry has gone from academia to playtime...so lets see if i can get back into academia. wink but you stay in play time and let me know what you come up with. wink

kiss

p.s....to quote a sg member, 'geo35' here's what he had to say about meeting nixion (and the others) at a book signing:

Nixon: By gawd, this woman has the most amazing PRESENCE about her! Youd swear she was generating her own weather system, small patches of etherea coalescing in her wake, clouds and sparkles of dew forming halos in the atmosphere about her... what a knockout impression she makes. The last time I saw a face like that, I was 12 inches from the solid gold mask of Tutankhamun at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago in 1974. She is THAT regal. (On the other hand, she does have a fucking drawer full of freeze-dried moles at home, so on balance...)

I thought that was a pretty neat description and it made me smile. smile

The classes are definitely intense, but at the same time there is a huge amount of grade inflation. 90% of grades are a B- or greater. I really like it, even though I feel kind of suffocated by all the work at times.

Cheers,

lol, i really should change that. I actually graduated in an interdisciplinary engineering major (called engineering science) and now I'm a physicist. I'm just starting out in a PhD program in physics, but most of my experience now has been closer to pure science rather than building stuff. What kind of company are you looking to launch?

I see that the gentleman that posted above me goes to Harvard... nice school, but nothing compared to its west coast counterpart!

lol, I'm just kidding. I was choosing between there and here and really it just came down to the fact that I'd lived on the east coast my entire life and thought it would be a good time to get a change of scenery and experience something different.
