so i did my yearly "hey-lets-watch-it-just-to-feel-old-and-out-of-touch" viewing of the MTV VMA's. I think its the only show i watch on mtv in the course of an entire year. and of course it always makes me feel like an old man. i finally know how my dad feels, where on several occasions, i actually stated "Who the fuck is that?" out loud, to no one but myself. i don't know any of these bands, and i really don't want to know them. they all sound the saaaaaame!

and kanye bum rushed the stage.

why, back in my day, you never knew what was gonna happen! Would Nikki Sixx O.D. on stage? Would Slash vomit on someone or something? Wasn't Snoop Dogg wanted for murder, but still showed up to perform? Now it all seems so safe. Disney-fied. I was hoping for Lady Gaga to rip off her spandex pants and say "See, i have a dick, now can we move on?" But to my disappointment, it did not happen.
oh well.
there's always next year.
