ok, here's the deal. I love movies. All kinds of movies. I even like bad movies. Like, really bad movies. If i'm flippping through and see "Twister" or "FaceOff" or some other horrible movie, i'll watch it. I can really appreciate the "bad-ness." If that makes any sense. Cheesy horror, bad 80's comedies, whatever. I'll watch any movie.

But never before in my life have I watched a movie and been so mad after than when i saw Juno. I have never sat through a bigger piece of garbage before in my life. Something about this movie has pissed me off like no other movie before. Maybe i'm just too old. Maybe i just didn't get it.
But i really didn't find anything to like about this movie.

First of all, it seemed like it was trying wayyy to hard to be hip. Almost like it was one extended commercial for the soundtrack. Oh and Juno is so hip and funky with her taste in music. "I like Iggy and the stooges, The Runaways, and Patty Smith." Really? Iggy and the stooges i can see. The Runaways...hmmm. Ok. maybe.
Patti Smith. Nope. Not buying it. No one listens to Patti Smith. No one. The only people who listen to Patti Smith are people trying to be a Cambridge hipster. Yeah, I only listen to Patti Smith, Nick Drake, Tom Waits, and now i'm gonna crack open a Pabst Blue Ribbon and listen to the Jesus and Mary Chain while surfing Pitchforkmedia.

I think the moment her friend said "Oh my blog" was the beginning of the end for me. People don't talk like that. People on the OC or Gilmore Girls or some other fake shit talk like that. Gag me with a spoon!

Maybe you liked the movie. Maybe you loved it. But i seriously hated this movie more than any movie i have ever watched before. Maybe it was because everyone said it was soooo good, so quirky, so cool. I dunno. Maybe i'm just too fucking old.
