well, another weekend has come and gone. yard work all day today. maybe someday, grass will actually grow? i can only be so lucky. yesterday i had a new radio and speakers put into my car. i spent 4 1/2 hours at Circuit City while they installed it. ugh! i watched all of Ice Age, the Thriller video, played video boxing on the xbox 360, solitaire on the computers, and 5 levels of Guitar Hero. Yeah, i have no life.
That being said, this Wednesday is Mike Doughty at Lupos. Its my 12th time seeing him solo (i think). Always a good show. Then Friday i might go to see Ministry and the Revolting Cocks at the Palladium. The week after is NIN. I don't have tix yet though. Sunday the 25th I'm going to see Devotchka and HUMANWINE at TT the Bears in Boston. That's gonna be a killer show. Accordians, tubas, theremin, the total package.
I love/hate summer. I love that there are so many good shows, but hate that i never have enough money to go to all of them. Or two shows will be happening at the same time, so i have to choose between one. The same time at the Devotchka show is "Fuck The Back Row" by the Dresden Dolls at the Brattle Theater. Its basically fans home movies accompanied by Dolls music. Or something like that. Decisions, decisions.
While we're on the subject of the Dresden Dolls, i'll take the time to pimp my group.

if anyone is handy with photoshop, we could really use a new group logo, to go with the site redesign that everyone is complaining about. The site makeover is just like getting a new girlfriend. At first, you're a little weirded out, cuz she doesn't do things the same way your ex did. But eventually you get into a rhythm, and you can really get your groove on together. So hang in there people, its just a website.

p.s. i tried fixing the links in this entry, but to no avail. grrr....this wouldn't have happened with the old site. ;-)
