ahhh....the weekend! i'm doing my damndest to keep it chill this weekend, cuz i KNOW the week is going to be hell.
today i went to AS220 to see HUMANWINE, The Ambitious Orchestra, and My Invisible. My Invisible were good, just got boring kinda fast. Three girls, one on guitar, one on cello, and one on an organ that sounded like an accordian. Reminded me of Folk Implosion, but completely different.
HUMANWINE were on second. and they fucking rocked. they are my new favorite band. Plus, I'm a sucker for hot girls with great singing voices.
The Ambitious Orchestra were very good too. it was an actual orchestra...string section, horns, the whole deal. but they played rock music. i'd definately go see them again.
it was kind of strange, going to a show in the middle of the day. but the bartender poured the Guinness just how i like it, so i was feelin fine. didn't make me feel like "creepy lonely guy at a show," cuz i went alone.
in other news, i got a XBOX 360! i was told my face looked like a kid on christmas when i picked it up. i couldn't resist...it was just sitting there in Target, looking all lonely. I had to take it home. The graphics are sick. Fight Night 3 is the shit!
Oh, and when you go to a show, and you like the band, buy a CD or pin or something. Bands usually don't make much money from a cover charge, so the best way to support a band is to buy some merch. Support local music!

I always buy merch at shows. I'm generally not happy unless I leave with a shirt or a handshake from a band member.
