welcome to 2006. an enjoyable entrance into the new year. first a visit to the white cube, theoretically the last art exhibit in the Volkspalast. a few interesting pieces - but it is the space which is truly compelling. then off to Hasir - a turkish joint in Schneberg. After dinner and tea off to Friedrichstrasse und Unter den Linden to watch the fireworks and freaky people. Later a march across town for kaffee und kuchen at Trespassers W - a russian bar in Mitte. Finally struggling through the snow back to the apartment to watch A Dirty Shame John Water's film about sex addicts in the suburbs. As the sun threatened to rise indulging in a bit of our own to welcome in the new day....
