Tears. Tonight there were soooo many faces from my past...it was weird to blend so many years together.
Brooke Shields, Molly Ringwald, Deborah Gibson, Mary McCormack, Kate Shindle(miss america 98..how funny) Matt McGrath, Raul Esparza(currently in Taboo with Boy George), Neil Patrick Harris... to name a few. Our director Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition) and his lovely wife Kate Winslet were there. Rob Marshall, our choreographer most recently acclaimed for directing the movie Chicago, was there. Kander and Ebb were there!!!
I will cherish the memories from these past four years. I can't believe that it has come to an end. I need to get out of NYC for a breather!
It was also sad seeing the ex there. We shared so much of my show experience together. He courted me so hard at the theatre...bringing me flowers and treats and glorious bits of poetry. Just amazing!
It gives me great sadness to know that things must change the way they do. People change. Ideals change.
Oh enough of my pity party already! On to better and brighter things! I'm off to Massachusetts tomorrow for the day. Hurray!

do you work in the business in some capacity? actress? i used to. no longer (never an actor). i stayed at ace bar on 5th b/w a and b until they closed at 8 am. yikes. but i feel like a million bucks now. say hello to the massholes.
