ok I have a cold air intake on my car, Had it for a few years now but never had to have it smogged. when I bought it the guy told me it was legal, I had no idea what to look for to make sure it was. Well I went to get it smogged and its Illegal. FUCKING BASTARD. so I was looking at anywhere from $100-$150 to get the right part with the C.A.R.B. exempt #. LUCKY ASS ME, I find this guy that tells me it straight (and the smog place confirmed this), all I need is a sticker for it so the smog place can verify that the rights to it are owned. $30 bucks. I'm still pissed though because the differance between legal and illegal is a little fucking sticker. but wtf its better than paying $100 bucks. whatever

So yeah everything passed but the differance between legal and Illegal is that stupid ass sticker. Same goes for the cops, W/sticker=legal WO/sticker= Illegal as far as that particular part on the car is concerned.

well well, another one bites the smog dust. its really a CARB EO number, EO = Executive order. meaning that it complies with air resource board boundaries. and doesnt make your ride pollute. are you still drivin the honda? usually i pass it at my shop. as long as your exhaust emissions are low. does the intake have any vacuum lines disconnected? if so, then that would cause a failed smog too. that sticker....if its a BAR label, then that 30 bucks is a real mother fucker. you have to set up and appointment with the nearest BAR referee station. blah blah blah. you knwo the whole route with government paper work. let me know if i can help you with anything related to the smog ass raping. smile
