wow that was a long ass trip. obviously cant get into details here but short of having an IED go off next to me just about everything else happened. Granted reading this on your end probably makes it sound way worse then it actually was. It was just a hecktic trip. Small arms fire (pretty common/almost normal), Mortars just about everytime we stopped at a fob (agian pretty common/almost normal) finding IED's and having EOD blow'em up (a daily occurance) vehicles breaking down, doesnt happen as much but did a couple times this trip which slowed us down and then some jumpy Cav guys shot at us, had not reason to but did, saying they didnt know who we were. well a vehicle shaped like the one they shot at is only driven by the Army, plus it had orange panels, cop lights and siren, a PA and all sorts of other shit that is basicly like waving a big ass sign that says I'M AN AMERICAN. and then to top that situation off not 10 Minutes later some Marines did the same thing. they were a bit jumpy because they were seperated from their convoy but still no reason to shoot without first having a positive ID of your target. anyway thats just a brief cap, cant get into much more detail but you get the idea.
