I gotta say that the first Christmas not being at home can be pretty rough. The first time I spent Christmas w/ Schiavona's family, it was kinda weird and I have to admit that I did have a small crying session. However, you gotta look at this as a new start to traditions for you and Pete. Pick some stuff from both your families, like special foods and activities and then come up w/some new ones (I give schia a new ornament every Christmas morning) and hopefully that will help you feel better about it.

Yeah, and as for the gift--there are just some gifts that are so flippin' good that you gotta get them for people regardless.
