So picture it - There I am, standing on mainstreet Disneyland just starting to watch the 50th anniversary fireworks. My parents are standing beside me and my sister and piratepete's brother are on the other side of them. I hear Julie Andrews voice over the speakers starting to tell her little story about Disneyland and the journey it has taken over the last half century. She says the words:

".........And remember - Dreams really do come true"

I hear a little girls voice start to sing :

"Star light, Star bright - First star I see tonight"

.......and I look up into the sky to be taken over by the beauty of the fireworks when I see out of the corner of my eye piratepete on one knee with ring in hand. It took every ounce of energy I had to digest what it was that he was doing and to stumble out the words "Of course I will" and then he hugged me as I cried for what seemed like hours.

So thats it - the wedding is going to be December 16th of this year and neither of us can wait!!!! I couldn't have asked for a more fairytale proposal from the most special man in my life so if you have a chance, go tell him how romantic he really is
