WHAT A WEEK!!!!

So my shifts with the local EMTs are done I actually didn't have to work Thursday night because work needed me to go in on the base Thursday morning after my 14 hour shift down town (with no sleep that night) So in the last 3 days....I have had 6 hours sleep

Today was my Sgts Retirement dinner and all went well - even though it was very sad I had made him a tribute video that he cried through for the full 15 minutes At least he enjoyed it

Out of everything I learned this past week though..........If you are allergic to something and you KNOW you are, don't just say "oh well - no big deal" and carry on because it IS a big deal, and you WILL end up covered in hives and in pain

I was assisting in a minor surgery this morning and as I was bandaging up the patient after it was all over, I took my gloves off to apply the tape that was holding the gauze on. WRONG THING TO DO!!! I am COVERED in hives and very sore from joints that have swollen Oh well - my own fault I guess I just hope they go away soon but last time it took almost 3 weeks


"Note to self - that part on your medic alert tag that says "allergice to adhesives" is not there just for show"
