Picture it if you will.................
The phone rings bright and early this morning - it was WhiteWidows roommate phoning from the volleyball tournament she was playing in this weekend. HA! the dumb ass sprained her ankle and broke her wrist
Now - if it were me playing on the team and they stopped telling me about the practises and games...I would take that as a hint that they didn't think I was good enough to play at the level the other teammates played at, but kuddos for her spirit! She would just show up to the practises and games on her own when she would find out through word of mouth when and where things were being held. HELL - for tournament this weekend, she wasn't even listed to go - she just showed up when the van was leaving
Anyways, during her call to me, she was all happy that she was in a cast
...she seems to be somthing of an attention whore but as soon as she started to giggle and mention that I would have to help her with her hair and cloths for the next 4 weeks, I hung up on her. I am not a mean person....please don't think of me that way - I just look at it from my perspective when I tore my knee all up and hobbled around in a full leg brace for 2 months
Did I ask her for help doing everything? I tried to keep my independance as much as I could but I didn't act like I was helpless! Oh well - we'll see how things go when she gets back tomorrow
A friend of mine sent this to me yesterday and I have been plastering it all over because it touched me to the point of tears. I don't know who the person who made it is, but as I was watching it I was overcome with emotion when they started to list off the fallen soldiers because the first soldier listed (Pte Woodfield) was a friend of mine from boot camp

That roommate story is the saddest thing I've heard in quite some time. And the exact reason I no longer have roommates, not now, not ever.
