Story of the day..................
So one of the Dental Technicians that we work with is being posted out on Friday and it was decided that we were all going to get together for a going away party. The Warrent Officer that was taking care of the party arrangements came into the hospital today to find out where we should have it. I was kind of tucked away in the back of the Med Records section when I over heard her discussing with one of the other Medics the party plan and this is what arose from that conversation......
"I was thinking of having it in the lounge of Boston Pizza but then I remembered that we have Pte WhiteWidow to try and include"
I poked my head around the corner and said
"What do you mean "try to include"?:eek"
"Well we all have to go somewhere that you can get into as well.....I don't want you to be left out just because you are the only minor here"
Trying not to giggle and blush all at the same time I asked her how old she thought I was (because the legal drinking age here is 19) and when she gave me her answer everyone in the office I was in started to laugh.
In the end it was decided that we would indeed go to the lounge and the Warrent offered to buy me a very late "birthday drink" for her mistake
Not like I care
That is one of the reasons I act like I am 12 half of the time and it must be working because this is the second time in 2 days were someone thought I was younger than I actually am Perhaps I should be wearing one of these around my neck
