My 12 page paper on Cyberpunk is finally finished! FUCK YES! You have no idea how good it feels to have that monster of a research paper taken care of. The happiness I feel at having finished it is almost erotic. Everything else I have left for finals feels like nothing (which is a 6 page research paper, 6 quizzes, a philosophy final, a pop culture final and a pop culture paper).
This paper has made me more irritated than normal with "Cyber Goths" though. Goggles, a painters mask, and some colored dreads doesn't make you cyber anything. Cyber is all about the tech. They have no tech what so ever in their look. Read a book guys. It makes me die a little inside.
I came home to this sitting in my room yesterday. Roommate number 2 got one for me and Marilyn to help us power through finals.
Time to sit back for an hour, drink some tea, and read a book. I'm thinking The Windup Girl, Snow Crash, or some H.P. Lovecraft.
I had a lot of fun at the SACSG BBQ. It was nice to meet people I talk to online in real life. Hopefully we'll do something again soon. Lord knows I'll need a drink or 20 after finals. I'll put back a couple Death In The Afternoons and pass out happy.
