The festivities for my birthday start tomorrow

We decided to grab dinner, probably at burgers and brew which is one of my favorite places, and then head next door to my favorite bar here in Sacramento called The Shady Lady. The bar is a 1920's speakeasy that specializes in cocktails from the same era. The drinks are expensive but completely worth it for the quality of the drink you get. I plan to get my birthday Absinthe and a nice Old Fashioned to start the night.

My girl is coming which will be nice. With school and work we don't get to see each other as much as we would like lately. Luckily she has a sitter for the day tomorrow so we should actually get to spend the whole day and night together.

Nothing to exciting. I'll be sure to update after the party tomorrow with pictures and such.

This band, Gogol Bordello, and The Poges are the two bands I'll be listing to getting ready to go out tomorrow. Nothing gets you ready for a night of heavy drinking like Russian Gypsy Punk and Irish drinking songs.
Enjoy the video. This is actually the calmest I've ever seen the lead singer. When I saw them live he stole the base drum from the drummer, set it on top of the crowd, stood on it and crowd surfed while stomping is foot on the drum to keep beat. They are one of the best bands I've ever seen live. I've seen them a couple times and they never disappoint.
