Life is just drifting along at a comfortable, progressive pace right now. Things are smooth and yet still edged with excitement. I have no complaints.

I've doubled my efforts with bass and just my musicianship in general lately. I've dove head-first into some shred excersizes and I'm starting to do some theory stuff (boring! but necessary). The theory stuff isn't actually alllll that boring but just practicing scales and arpeggios and modes is getting kinda old. It has definately shown useful in my playing though. In the last two months or so, my mechanical abilities has gone through the roof. I'm finally a shredder. But there's no time to celebrate. I have to keep pushing forward.

This will seem random, but I think I'm buddhist. I've been reading a lot on Zen Buddhism and the more I read and try for myself, the more things make sense. I guess the best way to put it, it's like cleaning off a greasy fingerprint from a camera lens. Reality hasn't changed but everything is more defined and doesn't run together.

Life is good.

p.s. Friday is my 4th setting on my sleeve! Kickass!
