This carapace cannot grow fast enough.
I thought me and Girl were having a great time together, she said she was into me, I was definitely into her. When she left my house Wed, the hug+ I got pointed to 2 thumbs up, all systems go. Friday while I was preparing to ask her out for Saturday night, my brother's boyfriend pointed out to me that her FB status was updated; "Girl McGirlyton is in a Relationship." My initial thought was "YAY!" preceded by "Wait, does she mean me? Cuz that was fast." So I checked my own FB to see if I had a Relationship Request. No. Some guy named Murphy.
The entire week, meeting Girl had put me in a good mood. The momentum of that good mood put me on the pace of a runaway train of happy. Friday night was a brick wall. I put my heart on my sleeve and I got my arm cut off. So how did I respond to this heartbreak? Saturday night after getting drunk at Mary's party I went running into the arms of my ex, who was surprisingly receptive... quite a fine mess I've got myself into.

well, the ex situation went exactly as I expected, right back down the drain
