I feel so embarassed now telling people that i'm a Stater (see I won't even say American) because their initial reaction is "oh... so you like guns, lying, and intolerance" About 2 years or so ago i started getting my news from BBC World, CBC and independent research companies NOT owned by Bush's friends. Because despite the claims that America is run by the "liberal media" most news outlets are owned by 4 big fat republican tools. Now that i've found the "real" news, i've become so ashamed of my country, who's running it, and the complacency that's allowing this attrocity to take place. Because by not standing up to these ass holes we're just as much to blame as the people doing it (do you hear that Congress??). Bush is like a kid who found his dad's gun and 90% of Americans are saying "put that way, you already shot 3 people" instead of wrestling it away from him and calling the police. I mean what kind of governenment goes through impeachment hearings for a guy getting a blow job but the blatant law-breaking going on for the past 5 years barely gets a stern rebuke.

Here's where i make enemies because I'm a history major and we're taught to watch patterns. "Fascism doesn't always look like Adolf Hitler", although Bush seems to have taken a page from Mein Kampf on how to distract the masses to seize control of a gov't. He didn't take over in a day, he worked for years and years slowly taking away the rights of his citizens. He could seize property, weapons, bank accounts, persons, and even declare the state under military control in a "time of emergency". So if, for example, some crazy thing happened like an Eastern Terrorist group "succeeds" in taking down an important government building and under the guise of "National Security" He ceases government activity, declared himself dictator and flooded the streets of the nation with military personnel. Who am I talking about? I'll tell you, Hitler did it, Bush did it once and now he just passed 2 more "executive resolutions" so he could conceivably do the very same thing again.

Conspiracy time look away!!

Many high ranking Bush officials have said they have a "gut feeling" that a dirty bomb will blow up off the coast of California affecting the cities of LA and San Francisco (two liberal cities) sometime before the Presidential Election of 2008. They say it will come from Iran, where 3 US Carriers are currently floating off the coast of and Cheney has said "pose a reasonable threat to the United States". With Bush's new policies he would have the legal power to take control of the government and suspend the electoral process indefinitely until the "terrorists" were taken care of. Here comes the Reichstag Fire all over again.

So I just want to say as a Stater that please don't judge us based on that nincompoop in office. I know the approval rating across the globe of the States is under 35%. IN FACT a recent poll of European countries stated that Germany, Italy, Britain, and France were all more afraid of the US than Iran.

This is why I claim my German heritage over my Anglicised last name because I would rather be thought of as a Kraut than a fat, lazy American moron. After all, I am only 2 generation born in this country.

America: the fat drunken angry stepfather of the World.
