Oregon is a suburb of Toledo that lives in the shadows of Detroit. We've got this guy who hangs around my store that is somewhat mentally challenged and he likes to make crayon drawings. Most of his previous work had been crayon drawings of 50's style automobiles adorned with swastikas and various medieval weapons. Lately though his work has been more subdued. The cars still remain vivid with content passengers but I believe he has left his Nazi past behind him. So I hung like 3 of his works up on the wall in the store. What the fuck else am I gonna put there? Posters of Eminem or Belle & Sebastian? This shit is far more interesting than pop stars or mopey dopey hipster bullshit. This is for real and this cat deserves any kind of decency. I hope it makes his day. Other than that usual consumer nonsense. Motherfuckers aint gonna learn that Uriah Heep sucks ass and EMO is a fraud. EMO is like the male singer/songwriter movement from the 70's. Clever tactics to get women or men in bed. Why does everything gotta be so damned tactical? Give me some John Zorn, Percidan, Jack Daniels, and a sixer of PBR and I'm right as rain. I'm not gonna wear a Promise Ring t-shirt just to scam some girl in bed. Shit like that makes me think of lawyers and appliance salesman. More things change the more they stay the same. Fuck.
