Denver/Colorado Springs was full of strep throat and tourist traps. I tried my damndest to find something against the grain to enjoy. I found a giant magazine filled with activities and venues in and around Denver. It was full of the typical shit. Techno Raves, Shitty Bands, Escorts/Massage. Granted, The Escort/Massage industry is one I enjoy but not for the limited budget. Maybe if they legalize it the broke mofos could get affordable sexual gratification. Sounds like lollipops and rainbows to me.

I also tried asking people:

"Where are the independant record stores?"

"Where are the noise and improv venues?"

"Where is there not some corporate chain or yuppie steak & wine sinkhole?"

Here are my most popular answers:

"Virgin Megastore"

"Do you mean like rock music?"

"Well, I'm not sure what you mean."

Most of my time was spent drinking whiskey in friends dorm. When I wasn't drinking the whiskey I was gargling it to try and kill off the hellish strep throat. Going to see a doctor would have been nice, but there wasn't any physicians in my little insurance network. American Medicine is so fucking interesting. It's like window shopping. I'm keeping this shit like 1200 AD Scottish Highlands Medical Practice. Whiskey, Fire, and Knives only. If that don't cure it then we take you out back and pull the plug.

I visited the Coors Plant to get pictures and trinkets for my brother. He is an extreme Coors Light drinker. He's a Silver Bullet Marathon Man. Personally, The Coors family can all get uncurable diseases and rot in some cobra pit. I don't care for all of the powerful American beer companies. I've got it in for them almost as much as the American pharmaceutical companies. Fucking old world tyrants hell bent on maintaining their poison empires. Keeping positive solutions off the market to increase their market shares.

Plus, I was staying on an Air Force base. It was like sitting in on a massive version of MTV's The Real World. All of my images of military life are of order, dedication, comraderie, etc. Nah, it was alot of drinking and dicking around and drama. I stayed huddled in my friends room with whiskey, pizza, and slasher flicks for a majority of the time. It was the only way to avoid the tourist traps. You motherfuckers can't have me!!!!!!

You're welcome to do both... though there's certain tastes of hard liquor that I just haven't learned to appreciate yet..
