Oh my god, it's SNOOP in full-on Huggy Bear threads with the Bishop Don Magic Juan in-tow! Never seen a guy holding a pimp stick doing the Cabbage Patch before!!! Oh my look at all of the gold! Did he just add izzle to the end of that word! TOO FUCKING COOL!!! I don't know but I never thought the pimp game was something to turn into lunchboxes and posters. Not in the fact that prostitution and pimps are BAD, quite the contrary..prostitution should be legalized. What I gathered from ICEBERG SLIM's book PIMP was that the pimp game, in America, was a reaction against the repressive system blacks were facing. The law ropes you into a certain corner in which the only way to survive is to become an outlaw. Not only was it profitable, it appeals to any macho tendencies or vanity. The pimp exists because of injustice. From PIMP we are supposed to look at the situation as it is and improve upon it. People want sex and aren't always willing to have a relationship for it. Legalization just makes too much sense. It would render all kinds of sex-based relationships useless and in the process save one side of that relationship from potential heartbreak. So I watch the pimps and ho's parading around on TV and this is all I can think aboot. Arcane laws and the pain that their emforcement is causing on all sides. If you read Iceberg Slim's book and thought that would be so cool, then you are a simple minded fool. Instead of a cultural wake-up call, we've got Snoop Dizzle Pimpadelic Corn Flakes. Hooks for miles. It'll sting you with one listen. I catch an Indie Rock Squeeze vibe from this record. Man, do I love Squeeze. They shoulda been the next Beatles. Oh well, it's a joy to listen to and I highly recommend it.
