The funnyfarm is calling my name.

"Hello WhiskeyFightPit, we've been expecting you. I see you've dressed for the occasion. Winnie The Poo slippers, stone-washed jeans with grass stains, and a Thin Lizzy t-shirt. First, let me tell you that cooler full of room temperature Michelob must be left at the door. Oh yes, we will be taking that flask of WIld Turkey as well. Can't...

I wasn't really into the Digable Planets. maybe my opinion would've changed over the last 12 years but back then I did not think that they be to rap what key be to lock. I thought that they was to silly what key been to lock.

I'm thinking of inserting the word ROBITUSSIN into the classic Procol Harum tune CONQUISTADOR. Why you ask? Because I'm ROBO-ing like a champ right now and all I can think about is Poochie-P from the SIMPSONS. God, I need that episode. That show is a big double edged sword for its format.

Too much Grateful Dead lately. Maybe I need to go see a noise...

Evergreen State College. The more I read about this school the more I want to move out to Olympia and give it a try. It gets a brief rundown in the book OUR BAND COULD BE YOUR LIFE in the Beat Happening section. Something to put down on my "Supposta" list that is ever growing.

District Manager was there for half of the day today...

Hellbent, Hellbent For LEATHER. I rather enjoy this Judas Priest song. What I enjoy more is large groups of auto mechanics questioning their sexuality and crying as the god of machismo LET THE GOOD OLE BOYS down. Go have another Strohs and rape your nieces, you redneck fucks...It was a sad goddamned day in the mullet candyland when Mr. Halford took the Cream over the...

My interest in music has been renewed. When I was on my drinking binge in Michigan I kinda let my music drive shrivel up. But I'm back motherfuckers....I'm BACK!!!! It's all I think about. Except for one thing....I wanna take some classes at The Second City in Detroit. Maybe them quacks can put me through the meat grinder and I can come out of it...

I feel kinda guilty saying I didn't get much out of the Kinks albums I used to own...but I did see them 3 times in the mid-80s. Second concert I ever went to, 5th row at Constitution Hall, Word of Mouth tour. Oof, that was a good show. biggrin The other two shows weren't bad, either. That was a fairly cool album. "Do It Again" was morphed by Green Day into "Walking Contradiction", "Sold Me Out" kicks ass, and "Living on a Thin Line" was even hailed by Xgau.
I've got scads of Aislers Set. I have a poor-sounding tape of a Dismemberment album. I didn't dig it...but I do feel kinda guilty, like I shoulda seen them live once anyway, as they were local phenoms and played at Fort Reno July 28th...well, it's all over now.
No lie, I felt so bad about Hines that I thought about puttin his pic in my Profile, but the Yahoo pics seemed kinda blah, so I used the Wild Things instead. The funny thing is, I haven't even closely followed his career. I've only seen portions of Wolfen and White Knights; I've never seen The Cotton Club or Running Scared. Yet I felt bad seeing that news today...I'll have to rent White Knights; Baryshnikov, Hines and Helen Mirren, the cold war...I'll likely dig it.
I haven't heard many of the above folks' stuff, actually. I bet some people on SG have, but I spent my Slint and XTC money on Neil Young albums, sorry. I bet TunnelSlats and Estrada have like every one of these...

I got the CDs, btw; this is the kinda thing I was prevented from logging on about this weekend with the dumb phone-line problem. I have listened to most of the AMT. I like how a crashing noise-jam will suddenly smash in on the 12th or 15th minute of a trance-out. It reminds me of my old copy of "Snowflakes Falling on the International Dateline".

I need to find a big satchel of frustration and depression mighty quick. The edge has been slowly dulling on my journal enteries. I work better when I'm at my whits end. Perhaps I need to jump into reading like Cheech. Truth be told, I've only finished two books in the last 3 months. Rouge States by Noam Chomsky and High Fidelity by that one...

Not much for me to go on and on about. I really like the Cramps' song GARBAGE MAN. I've listened to it like 5 times today. I like it when people see me doing my best Lux Interior impersonation and they recoil in horror. Fun for me, bummer for them. Still, I wait for the day when I'm going through the carryout singing that song...

There was a post in Lifestyle over the weekend, about what a greatest personal compliment would be. I felt like your journal post to me was way up there, in my book.
I would be very remiss (I guess, as I never looked up "remiss" but it sounds like "a fuck-up" in context) to not mention, re: oil rig work, the issue of Dishwasher where the guy did work on an oil rig in the Mexico Gulf. Did you read that, was it an inspiration for your posts? Cuz if you haven't well, I need to fuckin xerox it for you. One of the best zine articles I ever saw.
My fave Cramps song is...probably the cover of "She Said" by Adkins, or maybe "Primitive," since I am a Wild Thing* in training; I will need final approval from vaj or Max on my graduation.
I hope your coffee table book is full of Bettie Page pics.
(* this is a reference to the Sendak book, not the Troggs, although I think the Troggs, being virtual contemporaries of the book's publishing, and punk as fugk, were Wild Things too.)

The woman in the Heinz tub is Georgia Hubley, in a pic from the Yo La Tengo website. There was some discussion on there, in the fanmail sections, of my personal favorite anti-drug movie of all time, The Death of Richie. I emailed them my take on the movie. Perhaps they put it up by now.
I realize Desperate Lives and Stoner are fine movies too, and I must admit I've never seen Angel-dusted, but clearly The Death of Richie is the coolest just-say-no flick. Robbie Benson, and Charles "Carvelli" Fleischer.
btw, the violet-toned guitarist is Col. Bruce Hampton. Have you taken the Outstructional Guitar Method Test yet? http://www.outsideout.com --in the Lesson Room

I've got some lyrics of the LAST POETS scribbled on my school notebook. It says NIGGERS ARE SCARED OF REVOLUTION. To me, these guys were the cats screaming at the edge of the cliff. They knew that the revolution or reckoning or whatever was being steered towards an absorbtion of black and their culture. Well, some peon in one of my classes thought I was...

Clear Lake Michigan is all I aspire for these days. I don't want to be back in fucking Oregon, OH. I quite enjoy not seeing large groups of people and being out by a lake surrounded by nature. I'm debating whether or not to ask the people who own the cottage if I can stay there. Everything about this weekend was positive. Just standing on...

This is funny -- I was thinking about 3 hours ago that I'd like more psychedelia (I was fixating on the word "ritual" for use in an album-title, or band name, and I of course thought of Space Ritual, which I have of course owned for years) and I was thinking about Acid Mothers Temple, and the late-era Boredoms, and the other bands...I guess mostly from Japan now? If you can hook me up with some of that (just push "play" and "record", no need for fancy formatting) I will send you as many lead lawn darts as you want through my Panasonic Wonkavision.

I'm not afraid of Red Bull, it just makes me edgy. I drink healthy drinks, actually, it's just everything solid I eat that's unhealthy...but rest assured, I don't EAT OFFAL. ooo aaa

Oh yeah, it was The Wild Bunch. I told Sean from Tina Age 13 (they did a reunion opening for the Aislers Set) that The Good the Bad and the Ugly was the best western movie, and he said no, it was TWB, because everyone's all old and gross with bad teeth.

He was very hyped on Cassavetes too. I've never seen any Cassavetes so I guess I should. They do a song about him, even, I guess specifically about A Woman Under the Influence. . .I get a bit of a snicker formteh lyric sheet calling him "Peter Faulk". I guess not referring to Mr. Falk who's in the film, but maybe Marshall's unknown brother?
