god, i fucking hate mardi gras. but it's over now. until next year. all mardi gras means to me is having to work twice as much and make half the money. and now i'm on this weird sleep schedule, i guess, because at 7:00am i was wide awake. gah. sorry i haven't been updating. it's just that silly time of year. i've also been painstakingly trying to get someone on the phone for my elton john interview. i don't feel like explaining the interview that isn't an interview thing again, but nobody is even getting back to me. perhaps they think i'm not serious about this.

a good book to read is alex kotlowitz's "the other side of the river." it's nonfiction, about two cities in michigan with a huge racial divide and a dead body in a river. yea, i just copped out on really explaining anything. i swear it's good though. the guy also wrote "there are no children here," which is amazing, about urban youths in chicago in the 80s (i think).

i finished a painting i was working on, but my camera died, so i have no pictures of it. it's on this old window frame that i've had forever, and finally i got around to doing something with it.

my whole body is tired. i want to sleep for two days.

people in my town think that they deserve to celebrate mardi gras too.. and try to imitate it.. poorly i might add.. screaming and rough housing in the streets last night.. they serenaded me to sleep with their drunken ballads.. im sure yours was more annoying than the porta-potties lined up near my house

Mardi Gras is a huge pain in the ass I am sure. I love New Orleans when it is normal every-day New Orleans.

How did the burger party go? Any changes or suggestions? What beer did you decide on?

Have you baked a SMART chicken? They are dry processed instead of the normal water submerging process. The taste difference is remarkable with a whole chicken.

Nice AQ purchases. I love the cover art of Earth's "Living In The Gleam Of An Unsheathed Sword". I bought ANTONY AND THE JOHNSONS "I Am A Bird Now" and I really want to buy that Emperor Jones comp HALL of MIRRORs, and the Jesu album.

Do you have any of your art that is for sale? I am about to get a house by the end of March and I need some new visual stimulous in a bad way. If not do you have a tips of places to buy quality prints?
ARRR!!!

the Elton John adventure is a good one.
