i don't really update this thing very often. maybe i'll try more. try more better now then. yea.
three weeks ago i had to kill my kitten. he was born with an inverted pelvis. for two months he was doing fine and the vet said that he may go on to live a happy life without ever having trouble, but then somehow he rolled on it the wrong way one night and hurt hiimself. we took care of him for three weeks after that, setting up kittycamp downstairs with all the extra blankets, and we slept on the couch next to him, but he never recovered and the vet said that he would have to wait until he was an adult, 8 months, until he would be able to have surgery to fix what was ailing him. it is a very sad thing that putting him to sleep was the best thing for him, seeing as he would have lived in misery until a surgery that may or may not have helped him could be performed. in the end we packed up all his toys and food and donated them to the vet near our house because they were so nice. She even cried when she put him to sleep because he had been in and out of there every few days since his accident and she had grown really attached to him. 'he's such a good kitty,' she kept saying while she was crying. that was terrible.
otherwise, i just finished kent haruf's new book 'eventide,' and am now reading 'the things they carried' by o'brien again. i think that is one of my favorite books.
if you are reading this and have listened to the new nick cave disc, feel free to let me know how it is, and if it is worth the time and money. bye.
