so i've got this kitten right and like two weeks ago something small happens but it triggers a collapse in his pelvis, he goes to vet, he gets a little better, then he climbs onto the kitchen table and takes a flying leap after a ball of paper, realizes his back legs aren't ship shape and fractures his front left paw when landing. back to vet. enema to relieve him of 'congestion,' morphine, another look at pelvis, change in diet, constant flow of mineral oil into his nethers, etc. poor little guy. i have to sleep on my couch now because i don't want to bring him upstairs. now they're saying there might be permanent damage and he won't be able to have surgery for 6 to 8 months because he's so young (10 weeks). so i may have to kill my kitten (it would be constant pain for 6 to 8 months if he does need the surgery, and i wouldn't be able to stand it). boy that sounds depressing reading over it. otherwise i am a happy person.
